The boy does. not. care. He has absolutely no clue how to control his bladder, nor does he care. He doesn't care if he sits around in sopping wet underwear that is seeping up onto his shirt, and he doesn't mind if he wets all over my furniture. If he had the motor skills to hold up his middle finger while he peed all over my upholstery, two minutes after I just took him to the potty in the twenty-seventh fruitless trip of the day, I'm confident he would.
In my head, I thought he'd be potty trained on or near his second birthday. The third one fast approacheth. I have six months until the second baby is here and DAMNED if I am having two in diapers. I'm not sure what he has to be promised in order to get this done, but I'm just saying, a Porsche Boxter is not off the table.

Ah, babe. He is such a boy ;) Wendy's almost there (at nearly three and a half--she's a stubborn, stubborn creature, and I did *not* want this particular subject to be a battle of wills), and I need to get her all the way there before school starts to save the extra dollar an hour for childcare ;)
3.5 is the norm for boys. Trust me when I say I feel your pain! I actually had 3 in diapers for 6 months after Ezra and Fini were born.
And I should add that Ezra is making great progress, goes without prompting a couple of times a day at least, but when he is pissed he whips it out in anger and pisses on the floor or the couch or his brother or sister. I keep telling myself this is a step up from biting...
This would not be so funny, except: I checked back here after realizing you were eaten and spit out by my Reader (how does that happen??) and I haven't read your blog in a few months. And there you go, we are in the same exact hell right now.
Hang in there, girl. At our kid's 3-year visit our pedi told us it's normal for boys to train later and not push it, he'll be ready when he's ready. Easier said than done, though!
